Perdita

Perdita was particularly interested in engineering design and development. In her weeklong internship, she learned how to build 3D computer aided design (CAD) models and 2D scalar vector graphic (SVG) designs. She iterated through multiple CAD models for instrumentation development that we 3D printed. She also iterated through multiple SVG designs for a custom adapter that we cut using a laser cutter. In learning these techniques, she gained practical expertise in computer design and exposure to a research group for the application of custom engineering designs (Clarissa Whitmire).

This mentor-mentee arrangement was organised by Clarissa with a Berlin School teacher.
