Growing up in Science – Berlin

Thursday March 25, 2021 | ZOOM 5:00 to 6:30 pm

This month’s talk on Growing up in Science – Berlin features Prof. Dr. Yee Lee Shing from the Institute of Psychology at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Yee Lee will give her unofficial story about growing up in Malaysia, studying in the US, and becoming a professor in Germany. In the Growing up in Science – Berlin format, a scholar’s story is shared, including their doubts, struggles, derailings and detours, and failures throughout all career stages. The primary goal is not to offer classical career advice but to examine, in depth, the broader narrative of hidden human factors at work in academia.
